It took about 30 to 40 minutes by subway to get here from central Seoul.

Eunpyeong Hanok Village is a charming blend of tradition and nature. Nestled near Bukhansan National Park, it features beautifully crafted hanok (traditional Korean houses) with modern amenities. Unlike the bustling Bukchon Hanok Village, Eunpyeong offers a quieter, less touristy experience, making it a perfect place for a peaceful stroll and cultural immersion.

The entire village is compact, and most of it can be explored with a leisurely stroll in about an hour.

This is a modern hanok (traditional Korean house), which differs from the traditional ones. Unlike the original single-story hanok, modern hanoks often feature a second story.

While the exterior preserves the classic hanok architecture—with curved roofs and wooden frames—the interiors often feature minimalist designs, modern furniture, underfloor heating (ondol), and modern kitchens and bathrooms. This combination offers a cozy yet functional living space.
