On my second day, I began with a hike on the Chimney Rock Trail. 1066

The Chimney Rock Trail climbs along open ridges to viewpoints overlooking its namesake rock tower. Along the way, colorful layers of sandstone, deep canyons, and distant cliffs come into view, showcasing Capitol Reef’s classic desert scenery.
After the hike, I drove to the Anasazi State Park Museum
On the way to the museum, I stopped at several places

The Anasazi State Park Museum
The Anasazi State Park Museum showcases artifacts and exhibits from an ancient Ancestral Puebloan village, offering a glimpse into daily life through pottery, tools, and a partially reconstructed dwelling.
Behind the museum are the remains of the ancient dwellings once inhabited by the Ancestral Puebloan people.

After exploring the museum, I drove through the surrounding desert, taking in the quiet landscape and open vistas.
