Jeju Stone Park is a location to learn about the unique culture and history of Jeju Island, South Korea. It’s a combination of a museum, an outdoor exhibition space, and a traditional thatched-roof house, all centered around the island’s volcanic stone.

This museum houses a collection of exhibits that showcase the different types of stones found on Jeju Island, as well as the ways in which they have been used by people throughout history. You’ll learn about the island’s volcanic origins, the traditional tools and techniques used for stone carving, and the symbolism behind the various stone figures.

Outside of the museum

These houses are replica of a traditional Jeju farmhouse, and it gives you a glimpse into the island’s traditional way of life. You can see the tools and implements that were used for everyday tasks, as well as the furniture and decorations that were typical of Jeju houses.

This area has a large collection of dol hard bang, the iconic grandfather stone statues that are a symbol of Jeju Island. You’ll also see other types of stone sculptures, such as haenyeo (diving women) statues, dolmen (burial chambers), and stone pagodas.
