We had a lunch in this place

We visited Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace.

I covered Mattancherry Palace in one of my previous blogs.

After visiting the palace, we walked to the nearby Paradesi Synagogue.

I covered the synagogue in a previous blog. Unfortunately for our tour group, it was closed that day, so we were unable to go inside.

After visiting the synagogue, we returned to Fort Kochi.

Our tour included a Kathakali performance, the traditional dance-drama of Kerala.

Kathakali performers generally do not speak. They tell the story through highly controlled eye movements, facial expressions, hand gestures (mudras), and body movements, while singers and musicians provide the narration and music.
