Gangneung Jeongdongjin Area, South Korea
Jeongdongjin is a town near Gangneung, South Korea, and one of the most popular sites in Korea for watching the sunrise on New Year’s Day. Jeondongjin Train Station is known to be one of the stations closest to the ocean in the world.

Haslla Art World is a modern, seaside complex featuring an art museum, cafe & hotel, plus a scenic park with sculptures. I arrived here by bus from where I stayed.
It starts with modern arts
Out from the modern arts, turn left here to enter the Pinocchio museum.
Go down for more Pinocchio.

A short taxi ride took me to Jeongdongjin Station. It is known as the train station located closest to the ocean in the nation.

Another short taxi rides to Sun Cruise Hotel. The hotel is shaped like a cruiser, and there is another ship-shaped hotel building behind this one situated perpendicular to this one.

and come out to the other side
Another ship-shaped hotel building is connected to this one with a glass walkway. Only the top of the hotel is shown from here.
Nearby is a sculpture garden
Came back into the hotel, went up to the observation deck, and looked around left and right.
The little boat far away is a restaurant.
Inside the hotel lobby
Done with the hotel and walk down toward the bus stop near Jeongdongjin Time Museum to return to where I stay.
