From Heard Museum, I drove to Pueblo Grande Ruin and Irrigation Sites.

Pueblo Grande Ruin and Irrigation Sites are pre-Columbian archaeological sites and ruins, located in Phoenix, Arizona. They include a prehistoric platform mound and irrigation canals. The City of Phoenix manages these resources as the Pueblo Grande Museum Archaeological Park.

The Hohokam lived in central and southern Arizona from about AD 1 to 1450. They were expert farmers, and engineered over 1000 miles of canals to irrigate fields.

Imagined picture and model of Hohokam village.

Dug-up site of their village.
