A map of the cave. There are two ways to get down to the “Big Room” area of the underground cave. One is to walk from the visitor center and follows the position “1” to “6” near the “Big Room” area. Or another way is to take the elevator from the visitor center to the place close to “6.” Walking down the trail is 1.25 miles long and drops about 750 feet. It would take about an hour for most of us. The “Big Room” trail that goes around the position “8” to “18” is about 1.25 miles long and will take about an hour and a half, mainly walking dimly lit flat surface.
I decide to walk down to the “Big Room” and take the elevator for return. The trail starts from the visitor center.
The cave entrance. Sittings in front of the cave opening are for the people who want to watch the bats exiting from the cave, which happens at night.
Walking down to the abyss.
