The Alamo: 300 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, Texas, USA

The Battle of the Alamo was fought between the Republic of Texas and Mexico from February 23, 1836 to March 6, 1836. It took place at a fort in San Antonio, Texas called the Alamo. The Mexicans won the battle, killing all of the Texan soldiers inside the fort.

I parked my car in San Antonio downtown near the Alamo and started walking toward the place.

The Alamo.  Originally the Alamo consisted of many buildings in this plaza area with the wall surrounding them.  Now only this building remains.

Inside the Alamo

The alamo was this gated area where this building was one of the buildings inside.

In the side yard is a little building exhibiting the Alamo history.

Done with the Alamo, walking toward the river walk, which is nearby.

Suddenly the River Walk shows up under the street.
