The High Museum of Art is the largest museum for visual art in the Southeastern United States.  Contemporary, Self-Taught, and African Arts.

The High is home to more than 17,000 pieces of American, European, African, decorative, and folk art, plus photography and contemporary works.

The High was established in 1905 as the Atlanta Art Association. In 1926 Harriet Harwell Wilson High donated her family’s Peachtree Street residence to be used as a museum, and the association was renamed in her honor.
