El Raval is a vibrant multi-cultural neighborhood in the heart of Barcelona. Famous for it’s edgy and bohemian vibe, it has some of the city’s top museums and restaurants.

La Rambla del Raval and the MACBA museum have been transforming poles that have attracted hipster cafes and local young designers to El Raval. But most of the streets continue to be clearly very low income. It’s visibly a place where poor immigrants struggle. That’s the ethnic reality that some travel companies try to sell as romantic multiculturality.

Hospital de la Santa Creu – It was the largest medieval hospital in Barcelona until 1900s.

Palau Güell. The Palau Güell is a mansion designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí for the industrial tycoon Eusebi Güell, and was built between 1886 and 1888.
