People are waiting to see the Crown Jewels. The Crown Jewels of Scotland and the Honours of Scotland, including the crown, scepter, and sword, are kept and displayed within the castle. They represent the regalia and symbols of Scottish royalty.

Throughout its history, the castle served as a royal residence for Scottish monarchs. It was a key stronghold for kings and queens, and its location made it an essential defensive position.
The Great Hall of Edinburgh Castle was constructed by James IV in the late 15th century. It is an impressive medieval hall and now serves as a venue for official ceremonies and events.
