A five-day trip to Lake Tahoe from Los Angeles, stopping at several locations along the way

Lake Tahoe, California

Museum of Western Film History at Lone Pine, CA.

Japanese Internment Camps at Manzanar, CA.  The internment of Japanese Americans in the United States during World War II was the forced relocation and incarceration in concentration camps in the western interior of the country of about 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry, most of whom lived on the Pacific Coast.  Regretfully, I did not take enough pictures of this place.

On the hiking trail to Devil’s Postpile National Monument.

Mono Lake, but this is the closest I can go because a visitor cannot go near the lakeshore.

Hiking around Spooner Lake.

Lake Tahoe

Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe

Squaw Valley Resort

Donner Memorial State Park

Truckee, CA.

Lake Tahoe again

Emerald Bay, Lake Tahoe

Fallen Leaf Lake

Hiking to Angora Lake

Old Sacramento.  Old Sacramento is the riverfront historic district, with Gold Rush-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and horse-drawn carriages.
