Denver, nicknamed the “Mile High City,” combines cultural attractions like museums and historic neighborhoods with quick access to hiking trails and mountain scenery. Its sunny climate, craft breweries, and walkable downtown make it a fun place to explore.
On the way to Denver from Black Canyon National Park, I stopped here to see the scenery.
Before driving into downtown Denver, I stopped at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre blends geology and music, with massive red sandstone monoliths forming a natural acoustic bowl. Visitors can explore hiking trails, enjoy panoramic views of Denver, and attend world-class concerts beneath the open sky.
Unfortunately, they were preparing for the evening performance and had closed the venue for tourists.
The next day, I walked through the city center of Denver for sightseeing.
