I got off the subway near the Tsukiji market and was on my way to the market when I found this temple. Without much information, I went in to see what was inside.
It turned out to be a Buddhist Temple.
The Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple is a distinctive Buddhist temple located near the former Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. It is well-known for its unique architecture, blending traditional Buddhist design with influences from Indian, Islamic, and European styles, making it a one-of-a-kind sight in Japan.
It was originally established in 1617 in a different location and relocated to Tsukiji after being destroyed by fire in 1657.
I kept on walking and arrived at the Tsukiji Market
Tsukiji is a district in Tokyo, best known for its iconic Tsukiji Fish Market, which was once the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world. Even though the inner wholesale market moved to Toyosu in 2018, Tsukiji remains a popular destination for its lively outer market, historical significance, and delicious street food.
The famous Ginza area is located near Tsukiji, so I took a short bus ride there.
The SEIKO HOUSE Ginza, formerly known as the Wako Main Building, is a historic landmark located at 4-5-11 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. Established in 1932, this neo-renaissance-style building features an iconic clock tower and has been a symbol of the Ginza district for over 90 years.
Ginza’s main street, Chuo-Dori Ave, was closed to traffic on the day I visited.

I exited Ginza Six and entered the Uniqlo store. I then left Uniqlo through the back of the store.
The street behind the Uniqlo store was narrower than in front. I walked back toward the Seiko Building. The street name is Ginza Suzuran-Dori St.
I turned right and walked back to Chuo-dori Ave.

After the main street of Ginza, I walked away to Ginza Kabukiya Theater
Ginza Kabukiza Theater. The Kabukiza Theatre in Ginza, Tokyo, is the premier venue for experiencing traditional Kabuki performances. Established in 1889, it has undergone several reconstructions due to fires and wartime damage, with the current structure reopening in 2013.
