The town is a popular destination for art enthusiasts, offering a glimpse into Van Gogh’s life and work through sites like the Auberge Ravoux, where he stayed, and the Church of Auvers, which he painted. The surrounding countryside, often depicted in Van Gogh’s paintings, adds to the area’s picturesque appeal. Additionally, the town has a rich history and a variety of attractions, including the Château d’Auvers and the graves of both Vincent and his brother Theo van Gogh in the local cemetery.

The town is close to Paris and can be reached by a local train then a local bus from Paris.

This house is where Van Gogh stayed until he died in this town.  He rented a tiny room in the attics of this house.  It is now a museum.

Van Gogh painted many areas of this town.

On the first floor is a restaurant now and was dining room when Van Gogh was here.

I was not allowed to take pictures of the tiny Van Gogh’s attic room, but the guide told me that it was the smallest room allowed by law.
