After Bhutan, I had originally planned to travel to Europe, but because of the war involving Iran, I changed my plans and decided to visit Seoul before continuing on to Europe.
The inside of the Coex

I stayed in the Euljiro area of Seoul, which was conveniently located near many of the city’s major attractions. During my stay, I went to COEX to watch The King’s Warden (왕과 사는 남자), a popular Korean movie at the time.

First, I stopped at a restaurant for lunch.

Then I stopped at a coffee shop before continuing to explore COEX.

Afterward, I went back inside COEX to watch The King’s Warden.

After the movie, I made my way to the Starfield Library inside COEX.

Before visiting the Starfield Library, I stopped for another meal

The Starfield Library is a spectacular public library located inside COEX Mall, famous for its towering bookshelves, open reading spaces, and impressive modern design.

Although it is a functioning library, most visitors seem to come for sightseeing and photos, while relatively few actually sit down to read.

One reason why not many people are reading may be that many of the books on the towering shelves are simply out of reach. These books on the towering shelves are mainly for display rather than for browsing or reading.

After spending the day at COEX, I took the subway back to my hotel in Euljiro.

The lively Euljiro neighborhood near my hotel, filled with restaurants, shops, cafés, and busy streets.

Just across the street from my hotel was a maze of narrow alleys lined with small restaurants and eateries. This is the intersection where Euljiro and 3rd Street meet.

Inside this alley is ...

A small courtyard beside a restaurant, with an outdoor seating area where people gathered to eat and drink.

I wandered around the lively food streets of Euljiro, passing narrow alleys filled with restaurants and bars.
