The Auckland War Memorial Museum, located in the Auckland Domain, is one of New Zealand’s most important cultural institutions. It features extensive collections on the country’s natural history, Māori and Pacific heritage, and military history. Housed in a grand neoclassical building, the museum also serves as a memorial to New Zealanders who served in war, offering both educational and reflective experiences.

The Domain Wintergardens is located a short distance from the museum.

The Domain Wintergardens, located in Auckland’s Domain park, are a peaceful oasis featuring two elegant glasshouses—one with lush tropical plants and the other with temperate flowers. Opened in the early 20th century, the gardens also include a sunken courtyard with a beautiful pond, classical statues, and seasonal plantings, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors to relax and enjoy nature.

I came back to the city center via an Uber

On Queen Street now. The rest of the photos will capture the walk down Queen Street to the harbor, just like in Auckland Walk 1.
