Throughout its history, the Tower of London has served various purposes, including a royal palace, a prison, a treasury, and a menagerie. It has also housed the Royal Mint, a repository for the Crown Jewels, and served as a fortress for the defense of the city.

The Tower of London gained a reputation as a place of imprisonment and execution. Famous figures, such as Anne Boleyn, Sir Thomas More, and Sir Walter Raleigh, were held within its walls before meeting their fate.

People are waiting to enter the treasury museum inside this building.

The Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom are kept on display in the Jewel House at the Tower of London. The collection includes crowns, scepters, orbs, and other regalia used in royal ceremonies and coronations.

The Tower of London is a complex of buildings and fortifications, including multiple towers, walls, and a moat.

The White Tower, a massive keep at the center of the complex, is the oldest part of the fortress. It features Romanesque architectural elements and stands as a symbol of Norman military power.
