This is located at the back of the Hôtel des Invalides is the Dôme des Invalides. The Dôme des Invalides houses the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte, one of France’s most famous leaders. His remains were transferred there in 1840 from Saint Helena, where he died in exile.
There was no entrance to the Hôtel des Invalides from this side, so I had to walk to the other side of this building.
The Hôtel des Invalides
Commissioned by King Louis XIV in 1670 and designed by architect Libéral Bruant, the Hôtel des Invalides was completed in 1676. The building was intended as a hospital and retirement home for wounded and retired soldiers.
I walked to the Dôme des Invalides, which houses the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte.

The museum features extensive collections of military artifacts.
Weapons and Armor: Ranging from ancient to modern times, including medieval armor, swords, and firearms.
I have been to many war museums, and this one is distinguished from the others by its collection of well-preserved old army uniforms.
