THE LUME Indianapolis is a 30,000-square-foot immersive digital art experience at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, created in partnership with Grande Experiences. It uses state-of-the-art projectors, sound, and multimedia to transform gallery space into an enveloping visual and auditory environment.

The exhibition Connection: Land, Water, Sky – Art & Music from Indigenous Australians celebrates the art, culture, and worldview of contemporary Indigenous Australian artists. It showcases more than 500 works — including paintings, photographs, and storytelling — by over 100 Indigenous creators, spanning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions.

The show explores themes of land, water, and sky, reflecting the deep interconnection between people and environment in Indigenous Australian cultural systems. A complementary musical soundtrack composed by Indigenous musicians enhances the immersive experience.

This edition of THE LUME aims to educate, inspire, and connect audiences with Indigenous Australian artistic expression, storytelling, and cultural values through a multi-sensory and accessible format.
