Orsay Museum: Impressionism Paintings, Paris, France

The Orsay Museum, or Musée d’Orsay, is one of the most famous art museums in Paris, France.

Housed in the former Gare d’Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900, the museum primarily holds French art dating from 1848 to 1914, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography. Its collection features works from prominent artists such as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Rodin, among others.

As I walk toward the museum

The museum is located on the Left Bank of the Seine River, opposite the Tuileries Gardens.

The building itself is an architectural masterpiece, with its grand clock and glass ceilings that flood the interior with natural light.

What makes this museum one of the most popular in Paris is its vast collection of paintings by the Impressionists.  This blog shows these paintings.

There were so many people in the museum that I had hard time taking pictures of the paintings.
