Picasso Museum and El Born Walk, Barcelona, Spain
The Museu Picasso in Barcelona is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Pablo Picasso. The trendy El Born area is characterized by narrow medieval streets offering designer boutiques and cafes by day, and cocktail bars and samba at night.
Picasso Museum: C/ de Montcada, 15-23, 08003 Barcelona, Spain
The genius of the young artist is revealed through the 4,251 works that make up the permanent collection. Furthermore, the Museu Picasso, opened in 1963, also reveals his deep relationship with Barcelona: an intimate, solid relationship that was shaped in his adolescence and youth, and continued until his death. The Museum is very rich in regard to work from the formative years in the life of the artist; it is practically exhaustive up to the Blue Period.

A museum map
The museum displays Picasso’s work chronologically, so it has many of his early works but not so many later ones.
The museum is located in El Born, so I walked around it after seeing the museum.
