The opera house

In front of the opera house is the Calligraphy Museum, Korea National University of Arts, and the concert hall.

The concert hall.

Far away adjacent to Seoul Art Center is National Gugak Center, where traditional Korean music is performed.

In front of the concert hall is the museum.

Next to the museum is a restaurant with a coffee shop.

Inside the concert hall.

I came here for “11:00 o’clock Concert.”  It was playing various symphonic music.

After the concert.

Walking toward the clock on the left, there is a stairs.  I walked down …

Then walking to the left side of the opera house, there is the Hangaram museum.

It had three exhibitions. I went to all three, but one was not allowed for photo taking, so only two exhibitions are shown here.

The first is on Henri Matisse’s art.

His art is more about paper cutting than drawing

Commercialization of his art

Out from Matisse and into the Getty Images exhibition.  Getty Images collects photos: they buy and sell photo images.  They have a massive amount of pictures with many historically important images.

On a different day, I came back to the concert hall for another performance.  These photos are taken with my smartphone.

The building on the right is the Museum of Gugak (Korean traditional music).

Inside, the museum shows many Korean traditional musical instruments.
