Tate Britain is known for its extensive collection of British art, spanning from the 16th century to the present day.

The museum’s primary focus is on British artists, including famous names like J.M.W. Turner, William Blake, John Constable, and many others.

It was originally established as the National Gallery of British Art in 1897 and was later renamed Tate Britain in 2000 to distinguish it from Tate Modern, which primarily focuses on contemporary and international art.

One thing I got from this visit to the museum is to get to know who JMW Turner is.  The museum dedicated a significant space for his paintings.
