Previously, I explored the south side of Guam, and this time, I’ll visit the northern side, focusing on Two Lover’s Point and Ritidian Point.

As usual, I began my journey from Tumon Village, where I stayed in Guam.

My first stop was at V.S.A. Benavente Middle School, which was known as Dededo Jr. High School fifty years ago.

I then drove to Two Lover’s Point, which was nearby.

Two Lover’s Point, also known as Puntan Dos Amantes, is a dramatic limestone cliff that rises over 400 feet above the Philippine Sea in northern Guam. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the turquoise waters, rugged coastline, and Tumon Bay.

The site is steeped in local legend, telling the tragic story of two star-crossed lovers from different social classes who, forbidden to be together, tied their hair together and leapt from the cliff into the sea below, choosing eternal unity in death.

Today, the site features a viewing platform, love-themed sculptures, and a wall adorned with colorful love locks left by visitors from around the world. It’s a popular spot for both sightseeing and reflecting on Guam’s rich cultural heritage.

After visiting Two Lover’s Point, I drove to Ritidian Point, the northernmost area of Guam.

Ritidian Point, located at the northernmost tip of Guam, is part of the Guam National Wildlife Refuge.

It boasts pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush coastal forests, making it a serene and unspoiled natural place.

Ritidian Beach

In Guam, the ocean is never far away due to the island’s small size and central location in the Pacific Ocean. The water is exceptionally clean and clear everywhere, making it perfect for snorkeling. A beach like Ritidian Beach, with its sparse crowds, feels like an unspoiled private beach.
