Ireland Trip in 2002, Ireland
I went on a self-directed trip to Ireland for four days. I skipped the big cities and concentrated on the natural scenes in the southwest side of Ireland.
Blarney Castle, Cork, Ireland
Blarney Castle and Folk Park. Blarney Castle is a medieval stronghold in Blarney, near Cork, Ireland. Though earlier fortifications were built on the same spot, the current keep was built by the MacCarthy of Muskerry dynasty, a cadet branch of the Kings of Desmond, and dates from 1446. The Folk Park recreated old-style Irish houses and farms.

The Cliffs of Mohor

The Burren – The Burren is a region of County Clare in the southwest of Ireland. It’s a karst landscape of bedrock incorporating a vast cracked pavement of glacial-era limestone, with cliffs and caves, fossils, rock formations and archaeological sites.
