The next morning, I visited Uluru again to see the sunrise. The viewing area was quiet and peaceful, but I didn’t notice the subtle color changes of the rock as the sun came up. After sunrise, I walked about 60% of the Uluru Base Walk, mainly covering the southern part. The walk offered close-up views of the rock’s surface, caves, and waterholes.

I took the shuttle bus back to Uluru early in the morning to see it at sunrise.

The bus took us to Talinguṟu Nyakunytjaku – Uluṟu Sunrise Viewing Area

After the sunrise viewing, I took the bus to one of the starting points of the Uluru Base Walk.

I am on the Uluru Rock Base Walk

I started the walk from the easternmost point of the rock, a place called Kuniya Piti. From the starting point, I walked along the southern side of the rock, passing sites such as Mutitjulu Waterhole, Pulari, Mala, Mala Puta, and continuing to Kantju Gorge before returning to Mala. This route covered about 60% of the rock’s perimeter.
