Abiquiu, New Mexico, USA

Abiquiu is most famous for being the residence location of Georgia O’Keeffe, who lived there from 1949 until shortly before she died in 1986.

I stopped at Abiquiu because it was on the way from Chama, New Mexico, to Santa Fe, New Mexico.  I planned to see Georgia O’Keeffe Home and Studio, but the ticket was sold out.  Instead, I looked around Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish church nearby.  The church has a long history, but the church is rebuilt in the 1930s.

I stopped at The O’Keeffe: Welcome Center, but the ticket to the home and her studio had sold out.

The welcome center did not have her works displayed but her camping equipment.
