Seonyudo Park is located on Seonyudo Island, one of the islands situated on Hangang River. The park used to be a filtration plant but was converted into an ecological park.

Jeoldusan Martyrs’ Shrine is the site of the Byeonin Persecution of 1866, where many Roman Catholics were brutally murdered. This site was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Byeonin Persecution and to remember the spirit of martyrdom at Jeoldusan.

Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery.  This area is where the early Christian missionaries and their families are buried in the late 1800s to early 1900s.  There are about 500 tombs.

Mangwon Market — Mangwon Market is local traditional market in Mapo-gu. It’s nothing fancy like Gwangjang Market with its rows of food stalls, but, Mangwon Market has some good eats and it’s within close proximity to Hongdae.
