Monterosso, Cinque Terre, Italy
Monterosso is one of the five villages that make up the Cinque Terre, a stunning coastal region in Liguria, Italy. The other four villages are Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, and Vernazza.
Monterosso: 19016 Monterosso al Mare, SP
Monterosso is the northernmost village of the Cinque Terre and is divided into two parts: the old town and the new town. The old town, also known as Monterosso Vecchio, is characterized by narrow streets, traditional houses, and the 17th-century Aurora Tower. The new town, Monterosso al Mare, is larger and more developed, offering a variety of accommodations, shops, restaurants, and a beautiful sandy beach.
I stay in Monterosso because the trains from outside of Cinque Terre arrive here and it is the largest village.
This is one end of the new town. Walking toward the center of the town.
The town’s main path is next to the beach.

From here on, it seems like the residential area, so turn back to the old town.
Walking back to the old town through the main street. The small road on the right is where I walked out from.

Next to the busy old town street is this little quiet area.
Back to the ocean side. There is a ramp that goes up the hill.

The road leads to the new town, but there are more stairs on the right side that go higher.
