I was on my way to Ewha Womans University to attend a concert being held in one of the performance halls on campus.

Inside this gigantic structure was the concert hall where the performance was being held. However, I had arrived a few hours early, so I took the opportunity to walk around and explore the university campus before the concert began.
The campus had a very uniform architectural style, with many stone buildings designed in a traditional, old-fashioned style. This gave the university a very different atmosphere from the more modern campuses I had visited in Seoul.
After exploring the campus, I returned to the Ewha Campus Complex (ECC), where the concert was going to be held. In contrast to the older stone buildings around the campus, the ECC looked strikingly modern and almost futuristic.
The ECC was designed by renowned French architect Dominique Perrault and opened in 2008. What makes the enormous complex particularly unusual is that most of it is built underground.
Instead of constructing a massive building above the campus, the architect created a deep, valley-like passage lined with sweeping glass walls, with much of the building hidden beneath the surrounding landscape.
Inside are classrooms, study areas, student facilities, shops, and performance spaces, including the hall where I was going to see the concert.
The concert featured two popular Korean vocalists performing some of their well-known songs.
After the show, I left the concert hall and headed back outside into the Ewha Womans University campus.

On another day, I went to Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market, one of Seoul’s best-known seafood markets, to have some fresh sashimi.
At the market, you can select the fish you want from one of the seafood vendors and have it sliced into fresh sashimi. You can then take it to one of the restaurants upstairs, where they serve it to you at your table.
After buying the sashimi, you can take it to one of the restaurants upstairs, find a table, and enjoy the fresh seafood you just purchased. The restaurant provides the seating, dishes, and side dishes for an additional charge.
