Gyeongju Cheomseongdae and Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, South Korea
Cheomseongdae is an astronomical observatory, the oldest surviving observatory in Asia and possibly even the world. The Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, formerly known as Anapji, is an artificial pond in Gyeongju. It was part of the palace complex of ancient Silla. 340

Cheomseongdae was constructed in the 7th century in the kingdom of Silla, whose capital was Seorabeol, or present-day Gyeongju.






One bus stop away from Cheomsungdae is Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. Only a few buildings of the Palace are still standing.
