My second stay in New York is in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is close enough to New York that I figured it would be okay. Unlike my first stay in New York, which was at Holiday Inn, this place, through Airbnb, is where the local people live so I can experience more of local life.

I took the subway train and arrived at Oculus Center, a train hub.
Out from the Oculus Center and St. Paul’s Chapel is close by.
Built in 1766, it is the oldest surviving church building in Manhattan, and one of the nation’s finest examples of Late Georgian church architecture.
Inside the chapel is a rather modest look, keeping how it would have looked a long time ago.

The street’s name refers to a long-gone wall that was erected in the 17th Century by Dutch settlers intent on keeping out the British and pirates.

Walking toward Trinity Church
Trinity Church of New York was an important site during the American Revolution and the founding era of the United States of America. Originally founded under the charter of King William III of England in 1697, the church has Dutch roots preceding this date, when New York was still known as New Amsterdam.
