Wondae-ri Birch Forest, Inje, South Korea
Wondae-ri Birch Forest is a beautiful nature sanctuary with over 700,000 birch trees planted across 138 hectares of the landscape. There are several scenic hiking courses where visitors can walk in the forest with the tall white bark birch trees raising towards the blue sky. 369

I took the intercity bus to Inje from Sokcho then took a taxi to arrive at the starting trail point to the Birch forest. It will be two miles uphill climb to the forest.
Near the starting area, a store sold Snow Grips for Shoes, which acts as Ice Cleats for Shoes, so I purchased them for my shoes because, without them, it would be too slippery to climb.

Finally, arrived at the forest. The structure in front is the observation deck.
Introduction to the forest. During the year 1986 to 1996, 700,000 birch trees were planted to replace dying natural trees in this place. That is how the forest was made.

It is two miles hike from the parking lot to the forest. Then there are several hike trails in the forest. I took one that is most popular and perhaps the easiest.
