As I usually do, I stopped at a coffee shop for a cup of coffee and a pastry before starting my walk.

Hannam-dong (한남동) is a fashionable neighborhood in central Seoul, located between Namsan Mountain and the Han River. It is known for its mixture of upscale residential areas, trendy cafés and restaurants, designer boutiques, galleries, and cultural spaces.

The neighborhood has become particularly popular with younger Koreans for its stylish shops and cafés, while its narrow and sometimes hilly side streets give it a more relaxed, residential feeling than Seoul’s major commercial districts.

I continued walking through Hannam-dong on my way to the Leeum Museum of Art.

The building on the right is the Leeum Museum of Art, not the red building in the left.

There were not many objects on display in this part of the museum, and much of the collection consisted of traditional Korean ceramics and pottery.

After leaving the museum, I walked toward Hannam-dong Café Street to continue exploring the neighborhood.

This is one of the main streets in Hannam-dong, lined with modern, upscale-looking buildings that give the area a luxurious feel.

A vinyl record shop I came across while walking through Hannam-dong.

Going down this steep, narrow stairway from the main road leads to an area filled with upscaled clothing shops, cafés, and small boutiques.

Many of the former residences in this area have been converted into upscale clothing shops and boutiques, giving the neighborhood a unique character and making it an interesting place to explore.

A view behind me

This marked the end of the boutique area, as I left the stylish shops behind and returned to the more typical city streets of Seoul.

After exploring Hannam-dong, it was time to stop for dinner.
